God’s word is powerful and can penetrate deep into your soul, transforming your mind and heart. Making time to speak God’s truth over yourself takes discipline and consistency. Let’s replace your distorted negative beliefs with His affirmation and encouragement.
As a therapist who believes in Jesus Christ, I find it an utmost value and treasure to share this hope and faith to clients who identify with the same belief. One of the key elements of working with faith based clients is that I have the opportunity to lead them to a time of “listening prayer” which is the practice of being still and silent before God and pressing into what He wants to share with the client. God is creative and interactive. He loves to connect and bond with each of us. He is so relational and full of delight when we come and seek His presence. I have found time and time again how clearly God reveals Himself thru His kind and gentle presence when we create that intentional space to seek Him together.
